Infertility can affect men and women in many different ways, but it is important to know that you don't have to go through it alone. You can find the information and support you need to help you cope. There are groups and supportive organizations that are dedicated to the advocacy and support of individuals dealing with infertility. Get involved, learn as much as you can about infertility, and don't be afraid to seek help.

The purpose of the AFA is to provide education regarding reproductive issues and support those dealing with infertility and adoption. The AFA has a helpline, monthly newsletter and quarterly magazine. The AFA also runs educational meetings and conferences all over the United States. The website has bulletin boards monitored by professionals who answer questions. There is also information on and referrals available for support groups, therapists and other professionals.

INCIID is a nonprofit organization that provides information and support regarding the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infertility and pregnancy loss, and offers guidance to those considering adoption or childfree lifestyles.

RESOLVE was founded in 1974, and is the National Association for Infertility. This non-profit organization has over 50 chapters across the United States, and focuses its efforts on education around infertility issues (both male and female) as well as support services and physician referral. The organization also focuses on a number of public awareness campaigns around such topics as embryo donation, and provides lobbying efforts towards such initiatives as mandated insurance coverage for the treatment of infertility.

Mental Health Professionals Group (MHPG)
At the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) website you can find information from the Mental Health Professionals Group (MHPG), a group of professionals within the American Society of Reproductive Medicine who are dedicated to enhancing the knowledge and understanding of psychological and emotional aspects of reproductive health.

Find articles such as  "The Psychological Component of Infertility"  with answers to some questions including:
